[box] Call Frances–Frankie–Post. A private detective with a trick or two up her sleeve and a few skeletons of her own.

What starts out as a simple missing person’s case dumps Frankie and her lover Jack right in the crosshairs of a dangerous human trafficking organization. With lives on the line, bad blood and old wounds finally see the light of day. And Frankie and Jack are forced to realize: The past always catches up with you.

Always.

L.M. Pruitt does it again!   Ms. Pruitt knows how to combine a great story, amazing characters & just the right amount of wit to make me want more & more.  Taken was funny, sarcastic, witty & so hot that it almost singed my fingers!    Frankie & Jack are perfect together and their passion & love ignite the page (Kindle in my case, lol) without being too sweet.  Their characters are strong, independent, cunning & smart but still have a vulnerability to each other that makes their love transcend the pages and keep you wanting more.

Frankie & Jack have known each other practically their whole lives.  They only have each other to depend on while trying to run from their past.  Along the way they take on different identities and lead a vastly different life that allows them to help people.  Jack as a police detective & Frankie as a private investigator.  When they get a case that turns into something larger than they ever imagined, it could be the end for them.

The story flowed & transitioned at a great pace which kept me turning the page.  I must admit that at the beginning, I was a little lost and not sure if I was going to like the story.  However, once it picked up, I never looked back and was completely enthralled with to the very end!  This is definitely a series that I’ll be waiting anxiously for the next book and an author that has been added to my new favorites list.

I am a married mother of 3 (2 of which are teenagers, yay me!) who needs an escape from the eye rolls, attitude and day to day drama that comes along with raising teenagers. Without books, I would be medicated ;) [/author_info] [/author]
