[box]Aurelia Fridell will always be a freak. Born to werewolf parents, her twin brother Ville can shift forms, but she can’t. Twenty-five years searching for answers yields nothing.

As her thirtieth birthday approaches, isolation creeps in, and worry settles in her gut. She accepted her existence long ago, and yet lately, she’s felt off-kilter. Eyes follow her, prickling her senses. Her headaches are getting worse.

Is she paranoid, or is there really someone, or something, stalking her? Watching. Waiting. Drumming fingers to a sinister beat she can’t hear.

Time will tell.

Ceithin Starkley isn’t looking for a mate. Especially now. In fact, he doesn’t believe in true-matings at all. While he is being recruited for a new job, a scent on the wind stuns him, and he finds himself fighting an inner battle he never wanted, yet can’t ignore.

Sparks fly, as Ceithin and Aurelia fight fate and race against a clock neither knows is ticking.

Will he claim Aurelia before he loses her for good? [/box]

Interview

How did you start your writing career?

I can’t really call it a career yet, but last year Ceithin and Aurelia showed up, demanding I tell their story and though I fought vehemently, they won and I wrote. It took me five months of intense writing.

Tell us about your favorite character from your books.

From Fractured Moon, I relate the best with Aurelia, though there is a lot of me in Astrid, too. The story is written in first person, so she had to speak through me and I came to understand her. I love how she doesn’t wallow in her circumstances. Though she gets sad and deflated, she always rises above and takes her life into her hands. She wants to be happy.

Will you tell us about your current release?

Fractured  Moon is about Aurelia Fridell, who struggles with being a defective werewolf. Defective because she cannot shift to her four-legged counter-part when everyone in her family can. She has a twin brother named Ville, and he is her confidant, best friend and has the power to hurt her the most, because they can feel each others emotions. The werewolf culture is based solely on lore, and at almost thirty years old, Aurelia still has no idea why she is different. Fractured Moon is about her journey, and finding answers. She also finds her {True} mate. Ceithin and Aura have a rough start because he is already involved with someone. He fights a lot of inner battles.

Can you tell us about your next release?

Finding Time is next on my release schedule and is an erotic marriage contemporary novella.

Has someone been instrumental in inspiring you as a writer?

I’ve loved to read since I learned how. My mom always had her nose buried in a book. I didn’t start to read as much as I do now, until my grandmother passed away in 2008. I’ve written all my life. When I was a teenager, I wrote binders and notebooks filled with (angsty) poetry. I’ve always used words as a creative outlet. Or just to vent my inner emotions.

Who are your favorite authors?

My favorite authors include but are not limited too: J.D Robb, Ilona Andrews, Susan Ee, Benjamin Russell, Lisa Worrall, Jeaniene Frost, Cindy Gerard, Jim Butcher, Lorelei James, and so many more I could go on for days.

What is the hardest part of writing your books?

Finding the time to sit and write with no distractions. (I’m looking at you, facebook!) My kids are distracting as well. Some days I have to pack up my laptop kiss everybody and walk out the door to the cafe with my headphones.

Where do you research for your books?

You’re supposed to research? :scratches head: I knew I forgot something. Generally, since I make shit up for a living… I write about my own state, so I’m familiar with it.

Finding TimeTitle:  Finding Time
Series:  Marriage, #1
Author:  E.R. Pierce
Release Date:  April 2, 2012

[box]Are you a mother? Do you feel like you’ve lost your way as a woman? Wish you could find time and different ways to be intimate with your husband or partner? Here is a book for you.

Who is Eliza Prince? She doesn’t know anymore. She’s a mother. A wife. But what happened to the sexy woman? The woman who wore heels and skirts and had passion with her husband? Now her husband sleeps on the couch, and she sleeps with the kids.

Finding Time is about reconnecting. An erotic marriage novella with fantasies and eroticism. It’s about communication.

Every mother will relate to Eliza. Her body changed, her self-confidence shattered and she lost her female identity.

Now, she wants it back. Her desires are strong. She hopes her husband Jett will be on board with her plans. [/box]

E.R. Pierce

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first story when I was in seventh grade–A first person account of an entire summer. I went through a massive teen angst poetry phase, and I have notebooks and binders filled with prose.
Over a year ago, Ceithin and Aurelia showed up in my head. They yapped incessantly, demanding I sit and tell their story. After a month or two of being woken up with harsh whispers, I started writing. They haven’t stopped, and in fact, brought friends. Well, Aura brought her brothers. I have three, possibly four, books planned for the Steel Series.

Cue Law and Order music here:

These are their stories.

Writing is slow going. I have four young children, and finding quiet time when I’m not exhausted is hard. I have a wonderful husband, who corrals the littles and let’s me write in peace. [/box]

Great interview ER!! It's always nice to see new authors being interviewed by great book reviewers wink, wink Alyssa :) . I really love this book. Fractured Moon is very well written. As a paranormal suspense reader I really enjoyed the concept of a "defective" werewolf. It is a very new (at least to me) concept in this genre and I was very excited to read it and can't wait to continue reading about this series of characters. Aura and Ceithin are great together and I love the way the author had them "get to know it each other" first. Sometimes I love a quick love/lust story, but more often than not I like to read how characters interact BEFORE the sex comes in. Great shower scene by the way, kinda makes me want to "get dirty" so I can "get clean"!! There were a few spelling errors (what book doesn't have a few) by the concept and content more than make up for them. I really liked that I did not see it coming at the end. Very few books can get that reaction from me. Great job to a great new author!! Can't wait to read more!! Kudos ER Pierce. Dianne

great interview. i enjoyed getting to know you better, E! Fractured Moon does sound unique in the concept. I read a little when you were writing it and it intrigued me to know what happens next. Now, I can find out for myself since you officially released it.
